Zoo

We decided that it had been a little too long since we had gotten together with Brandon, Teresa, and the girls. So we picked Saturday to go to the zoo! The girls all had a blast, I wish I could post more pics here, but here are a few of the good ones.

Pumpkins!

On Mondays, Caitlyn doesn't go to school, but that is when they planned the pumpkin patch field trip for. So, I got to go too!!!! We both picked out pumpkins, went on the hay ride, hay maze at least twice, corn maze, apple cider, all sorts of fun! Cait had so much fun going with the gang from school. After the pumpkin patch we went into town and got her halloween costume, and then went to my parents and carved the pumpkins. It was a great day!

Beach in the rain

Caitlyn, Jenni & I went to the beach one Sunday afternoon. It was kind of for work for me, but also to just get out. Cait loves the beach!!!

So Much!

A few vacation pics from the end of August and Labor Day weekend. Caitlyn and I went on a 7 night trip away from home and family. (Well, most family.) We spent 5 nights in Sunriver. We got to Bend on Tuesday evening and had dinner with her dad, and on Wednesday in Sunriver we painted bird houses (that I still need to hang somewhere!), rode bikes, and relaxed. On Thursday morning we set out on a 300 mile, 12 hour day trip in a look towards that John Day Fossil Beds. We stopped at the Clarno unit and went for a hike to see a natural bridge in the rocks, saw a lizard, and got soooo hot! The next stop was the town of Fossil where we could look for fossils and could bring some home (which I did, cait just brought rocks). We went for a swim in a creek nearby there to cool off and then ventured to the painted hills. Those were gorgeous! Cait isn't quite old enough to appreciate them, but they were pretty. It was a long day, and it was nice to get back to Sunriver! On Friday, Nick and Tara were by and we spent some time with them and baby Grayden. Cait and Nick jumped off the bridge into the Deshutes River. She is sooo brave! On Saturday, we ventured up to Mt. Bachelor. Her first time on a high speed chair lift. (She's been to hoodoo once). The views were gorgeous - but cold! Sunday morning we left Sunriver and headed to Crater Lake - another gorgeous view that was soooo much colder than bachelor! The road from Crater Lake south towards Grants Pass was very nice. It had a multiple places to get out and view the upper Rogue River, we saw a couple of waterfalls on one hike, it was pretty - I'd do that again! We stayed in Grants Pass that night, and on Monday we took the drive to the Oregon Caves just outside of Cave Junction. She did great in the cave and stayed warm. She even got a kiss from the cave! After the caves, we found this wild cat park in Cave Junction and spent 2 hours touring the wild cats and hearing them roar and jump on the cages - it was awesome! That night, I had surprised Cait by renting a treehouse to stay in at this treehouse resort just south of Cave Juntion. She had fun with that, ours was called the Treeloon. It had the shape of an old saloon. There were horses, swings, a big firepit, ziplines (yes, we did those too!). She had a blast. I would have loved to stay more than one night there, it was great. On the sad day to come home (Tuesday), we came home via the wildlife safari and definitely saw some amazing (and weird) animals. It was a long trip with a 4 1/2 year old, but so worth it!!!
Here is the link to the album I created of the photos. There were WAY too many I wanted to post here.
