Disney!

Wow, we had a FANTASTIC time at Disney. I know we were all exhausted and we got on each others nerves at times, but it was a blast. Caitlyn had a great time. She met all 7 princesses, as well as many other characters. Since it's not as easy to post TONS of pictures here, I have posted most of the good ones to my myspace page, so go visit that if you want more pics.

Hiking with Caitlyn

Caitlyn and I decided to take off to the woods on Friday. We went up to Marion Forks to Independence Rock. It was an easy hike, not too much uphill, just gradual. She got a little tired of walking, but did great. We had snow at the beginning of the trail and then we had a few pet bears on leashes as we waded our way through the trail that had been taken over by rain. Then we had "bears" chasing us and we even ran some! At the top on the rock we had oreos for a snack before heading back down. It was really nice to be out of civilization for a few hours!

Happy vs Sabotage

Is there really a time that you can say that you are truly happy? I guess I have seemed happy to myself and then I sabotage it. Why do I do that? Like Katie said in her comment from the last post, guard my heart for the right guy that will love me for who I am. Well, I tend to guard my heart from everything and sabotage the things that start to make me happy. I really want to be happy, I guess I just have to have patience.

Short and Sweet

Well, this is short and sweet. I've had a bad day today on a personal level (work has actually been pretty good today). Do people really expect you to change who you are to fit the lifestyle they have and they want with you? I like who I am and what I believe in and how I am. If you can't accept that, I'm not sure what to do. I don't change for anyone. I know that circumstances do change people, but people don't change people. I like this saying that I found a while back...

"I can be changed by what happens to me, but I refuse to be reduced by it.” ~ Maya Angelou

I also found this one, and it seemed interesting (not sure who it is by)...

"A wise girl kisses but dosen't love, Listens but dosen't believe, and leaves before she is left."

I guess that kinda sums up my feelings for today.

Birthdays

Well, today was the last of Caitlyn's 4th birthday parties. We had the family ones, Chris had one, and I planned one with all of her friends. We had friends from school, friends from he neighborhood, and just friends she knew. The kids had a BLAST!
